Promised you all on that I would provide some awesome outdoor hiking opportunities and this one just appeared on the fly. Further, this Saturday, January 5 is slated to be a perfectly lovely day in the 50's and sunny and that occurrence in January is just begging for someone to just get out there and enjoy it.
Where: Lake James State Park A 6,812 acre reservoir is the centerpiece of this beautiful state park located in Nebo, N.C. 6883 N.C. Highway 126. For those with a GPS the zip code is 28761 (departs at Paddy Creek Location at 9 a.m.) This is about 1 hour from the inn.
What: Moderate level one mile hike. Children allowed over 6.
What's to see: Indigenous birds in Western North Carolina.
